Supporting Mothers, One Birth at a Time

1.png

Why We Exist

While progress has been made in reducing the global maternal health crisis, the morbidity and mortality rates remain alarmingly high, impacting their overall health and wellbeing.

Furthermore, women in underserved communities, as well as Black and minority women face disproportionately higher rates of adverse maternal outcomes often due to gaps in health literacy, inadequate access to care, cultural, regional, and socio-economic factors.

Everyday in 2023, over 700 women died from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth.

About 1 in 5 women experience a perinatal mental health disorder during pregnancy and in the first year after childbirth.

Without adequate support, the physical and mental health symptoms can have lasting effects on both mother and baby.
